MYFA and NEDF Host One-Day Consultation on Manipur Crisis and Human Rights Protection

In a proactive response to the ongoing crisis in Manipur, the Manipuri Youths’ Front of Assam (MYFA) and the North East Dialogue Forum (NEDF) organized a crucial one-day consultation. The event, titled “A Follow-Up on Brahmaputra Declaration,” is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by Manipur and seeking avenues for the protection of human rights in the region.

Happening today, 8th January 2024, at 10 am, the consultation at the B.R Ambedkar Hall, located near the S.P Office at Gandhi Hostel Silchar, Cachar, Assam saw individuals concerned about the well-being of Manipur come together to discuss pertinent issues.

The success of the consultation relies on the active participation of individuals committed to addressing the challenges faced by Manipur and advocating for the protection of human rights. The minutes of the consultation will be sent as declarations to the Government of India and The United Nations.

The MYFA and NEDF also appealed to the state and central government to take ample precautionary measures to cease the violence that is still rampant in some parts of the Manipur state.

The MYFA and NEDF recognize the urgency to address these issues, making this event a timely platform for stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue. The evolving situation in Manipur underscores the need for collaborative efforts to find sustainable solutions and uphold human rights.
