Youth Congress Leader, Silchar's Raja Laskar Is No More; Breathed His Last at Mecca
In the holy time of Ramadan, a young man, Raja Laskar, General Secretary of Assam Pradesh Youth Congress, went to Saudi Arabia to fulfill every faithful Muslim’s dream of Hajj. However, his devotional journey came to an abrupt end on March 14 when he passed away due to his long-standing illness.
Raja Laskar had been diagnosed with cancer, and after his treatment, he was feeling much better. Recently, he had gone to Saudi Arabia for a holy retreat in Mecca to complete his Umrah Hajj. Ramadan had started, and Muslims around the world are observing it by fasting the whole day. It is considered a holy time, and during this period, Raja Laskar took his last breath.
Details about his death remains mystery, but reports suggest that he had been suffering from cancer for a long time. However, he had somewhat improved after treatment. During his time at Hajj, he suddenly fell ill and was admitted to a hospital near Mecca. He had recently been married, and it hasn’t even been a year since then.
His loss has deeply impacted the community of Silchar, as social media is filled with his admirers expressing their grief over his passing. He leaves behind a significant legacy, being the General Secretary of Assam Pradesh Youth Congress, where he showed great leadership. Additionally, he was a social activist who always stood against injustice.
According to family sources, after his sad demise, he was buried in the holy grounds of Mecca. His friends and family members are praying for the divine to grant his soul eternal peace and give courage to his bereaved family.
