Hajj Pilgrim from Cachar Dies of Heart Attack in Mecca, Barak's Death Toll Rises to 4
Another pilgrim from Assam has tragically passed away while performing the holy Hajj. The deceased has been identified as Jalal Uddin Laskar, a resident of Gosaipur in the Udharbond constituency of Cachar district. Jalal Uddin Laskar suffered a heart attack at Arafat in Mecca, leading to his untimely death.
This incident follows the recent tragedy on Sunday when three Hajj pilgrims from Assam lost their lives in a stampede in Mecca. The stampede occurred in the Safar grounds of Mina in Mecca, amidst a massive crowd.
The pilgrims who died in the stampede have been identified as Maulana Saif Uddin Barbhuiya from Barkhala in Cachar district, Saleha Begum Barbhuiya from Chandpur village in Hailakandi district, and Jarina Begum from Barpeta district.
These tragic incidents highlight the risks and challenges faced by pilgrims during the Hajj, emphasizing the need for stringent safety measures to protect those undertaking this sacred journey.
