In a bid to seek divine intervention amidst one of the worst floods the region has witnessed, hundreds of flood-affected residents of Katigorah in Cachar district gathered for a mass prayer. Last evening amidst the rising waters, the believers of the Islamic faith took to boats to offer their prayers to the almighty Allah. The state is grappling with a severe deluge, with many rivers and streams overflowing.
The flood situation has become increasingly critical, especially in the rural and remote parts of Barak Valley.
