Police Thwart Attempt to Misappropriate Relief Materials in Katigorah
Misappropriation of flood relief materials is on the rise. In a swift and decisive operation, Katigorah police successfully thwarted an attempt to misappropriate relief materials intended for flood victims. Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers conducted a raid at the residence of Nazim Uddin in the Tarinipur area of Katigorah and recovered a substantial quantity of government-allotted relief supplies.
The police operation led to the seizure of six sacks of rice, five sacks of pulses, and three cartons of oil. Despite the prompt action, Nazim Uddin managed to evade capture and is currently at large.
Preliminary investigations have uncovered that several individuals, including a local teacher, were involved in hiding the relief materials at Uddin’s residence with the intention of diverting them from flood victims. Authorities are continuing their investigation to apprehend all individuals involved in the attempted misappropriation.
The timely intervention by the police has ensured that the much-needed relief materials will reach the flood victims as intended, highlighting the community’s resilience and the authorities’ commitment to justice. Police continues the investigation.
