Assam Cabinet Announces Major Reshuffle of Guardian Ministers
In a significant administrative overhaul, the Assam Cabinet has realigned the responsibilities of its Guardian Ministers to enhance governance and ensure more effective administration across the state.
Jayanta Malla Baruah has been appointed as the Guardian Minister for Cachar, Hailakandi, Baksa, and Tamulpur. This change is expected to bolster administrative focus in these districts.
The reshuffle also sees Ranjit Kumar Das taking charge of Karimganj, Dhubri, and Bongaigaon. Atul Bora will oversee Kamrup Metro and Nalbari, while UG Brahma is assigned to Kokrajhar and Chirang. Ashok Singhal will manage Goalpara and Biswanath.
Keshab Mahanta will handle Morigaon, Darang, and South Salmara. Ajanta Neog is now responsible for Jorhat and Nagaon, and Chandramohan Patwary has been given charge of Kamrup Rural, Barpeta, and Bojali. Ranoj Pegu will oversee Sibsagar, Lakhimpur, and Majuli.
Sanjay Kishan will be in charge of Golaghat and Dima Hasao, with Pijush Hazarika managing Sonitpur, Udalguri, and Hojai. Jogen Mohan is assigned to Dibrugarh and Dhemaji, while Bimal Bora will oversee Tinisukia and Charaideo. Nandita Garlosa has been given charge of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong.
This strategic reshuffle aims to streamline administrative processes and enhance the efficiency of governance in Assam’s diverse districts.
