Daring Robbery in Udharbond: Armed Gang Loots Cash and Gold Worth Lakhs

A gang of 6-7 armed robbers unleashed terror in Khashpur, Udharbond, during the early hours of November 28, targeting the home of businessman Ramdhan Goala. The assailants broke into the house at around 1 AM, overpowering the family by tying them up and assaulting them before looting cash and valuables.

The robbers forced their way into the home, breaking the lock of the iron grill. They tied up the two male members of the home, including Ramdhan and his elderly father. The armed robbers with their sharp weapons, broke the almirah and cupboards, wreaking havoc. Terrorised members of the Goala family had to give up their treasured savings, with the robbers making off with ₹80,000 in cash and gold jewellery worth several lakhs. They also looted an additional ₹5,000 from Goala’s shop after coercing him to hand over the keys.

Ramdhan Goala said, “Last night at around 1 AM, 6 to 7 people entered our home and first they tied me and my father and wreaked havoc around the house. They broke into the almirahs and cupboards and looted more than 70,000 in cash from there. Later they asked me for the keys to my shop and from there also took another 5,000 rupees”.

“I was first tied and blindfolded and they beat me too to get the keys and the money. I couldn’t see their faces but they spoke broken Hindi while communicating with me. They also tied my elderly father”, he further mentioned. Goala’s family suspects that the the robber gang possibly had a gun in their ammunition, which they couldn’t see given the darkness of the night.

Lately small business owners have become the target of these armed robber gangs.

Udharbond Police have launched an investigation into the incident, aiming to track down the perpetrators of this shocking crime.
