Cachar Police Busts Inter-State Narco Trafficking, Seizes 4.2 kg Cannabis

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Cachar Police seized 4.206 kg of suspected cannabis during a late-night operation at Digorkhal Gate around 2:30 AM today. Acting on intelligence inputs, the police intercepted a TATA Sumo passenger vehicle travelling from Shillong to Aizawl and recovered the narcotic substance from a trolley bag belonging to Lal Englian (26) of Edethar Village, Mizoram.

The suspect is believed to have procured the cannabis from Shillong. Police have seized the drugs and initiated further legal action. Cachar SP Numal Mahatta confirmed the operation in an official statement.
