HSLC exam begins in state, specially-abled candidate arrives in wheelchair

The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam have begun across the state on Saturday (February 15), with 44 examination centres set up in Cachar district. A total of 25,972 candidates will be appearing for the exams in the district.

This year, three more exam centres have been added compared to last year. For the first time, Katigorah’s Digorkhal High School has been designated as an exam centre.

At the Ganirgram JR Higher Secondary School exam centre, a specially-abled candidate arrived in a wheelchair to take the exam.

The centre has a total of 803 candidates, including 330 boys and 473 girls. Strict security measures are in place, with thorough checks being conducted on every candidate before entry.

The HSLC exam will end on March 3.

To ensure a smooth examination process, the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar has enforced Section 163 of the BNSS. Use of high decibel speakers near the designated exam centre has been prohibited.
