PC Sorcar spreads magic in Barak Valley by serving free meal to 600 people

“It is the love of people that made me PC Sorcar, and that is why I always like to stand by the common people. But today is a different experience all together; the experience of serving meal to so many people is not something I can express in words,” these were magician PC Sorcar’s words after serving free meal to over 600 people today.

Sorcar is in Silchar as part of a weeklong convention on magic organised by Royal Dreams organisation. The magician today morning went to South Corner restaurant in Rangirkhari, and served meal for free. South Corner is the restaurant, which serves meal to people at a cost of Rs 5 per plate, every morning. Today, Royal Dreams arranged for the free meal and people were served Dal, Rice and Mixed Vegetables.

The magician expressed his love for Silchar and said, “I have travelled all over the world to exhibit magic but Silchar holds a very different and special place in my heart. I would love to travel to Silchar at least once every year.”

Royal Dreams organisation’s spokesperson Bappan Das, informed barakbulletin.com that the weeklong magic shows will start from July 1 and continue till July 7, 2018. Everyday in the evening, magic would be exhibited in Rajiv Bhawan Silchar. “This is the first time we have organised a show like this and before the commencement, we wanted to do something for the common people and that is why we go in touch with South Corner with the proposal of serving free meals to the people,” he added.

South Corner started offering meals for Rs 5 since May 1, 2018. Arnab Kar, the man behind the service got inspired after watching a viral video of a family in Noida doing the same. Arnab and his wife Arpita, since then have been religiously serving meals to people every morning. “We have seen people on special occasions like wedding day, son’s or daughter’s birthday come and ask us to offer meals for free to the people. Today, the Royal Dreams reached out to us, and it was a good experience collaborating with them,” said Arnab Kar.

Not only the meal, the magic of love that the common people of Barak Valley received today from internationally acclaimed magician will stay as a pleasant memory throughout their life.
