Today, in Sichar Medical College and Hospital, the administration detained two individuals, who entered the Surgery ward with a stethoscope and pretended to be doctors.
Taibur Rahman Choudhury, son of Kasim Ali Choudhury of Pailapool and Rafique Ali, son of Ahmed Ali of Borkhola area entered the surgery ward and started checking patients at around 10:30 AM. The security guard deployed in the gate of the ward sensed something fishy and asked them for their cards. When both Taibur and Rafique failed to prove their identity, the guard rushed and informed the doctors on duty. Later, the superintendent rushed to the ward and a case was registered against both.
The superintendent informed barakbulletin.com that they had relatives admitted as patients in the hospital and as security guards do not allow visitors to enter the ward when doctors are in rounds, both of them decided to disguise themselves as doctors. However, the FIR submitted by the security guard mentions that the fake doctors entered and treated patients.
The Police spokesperson told us that a case has been registered against both Taibur and Rafique, and the court will chart the road ahead.
It is rather amusing to see how Bollywood film scenes can sometimes come true. While Sanjay Dutt was entertaining in Munnabhai, that was fiction. In real world, fake doctors act as a major threat to lives. Hope people realise that.
