NRC: As you head to your Seva Kendra to know the reason of your exclusion; here are 5 things you must know
For all those, who had been left worried after their names did not get published in the National Register of Citizens, you have a few chances to prove your identity. From today (August 10), the authorities will open the door of seva kendra for people to know the very reason for not including their names.
But before you head to the nearest seva kendra, here are 5 things that you must know:
1. People who submitted their complete NRC form within August 2015 can only submit claims. Objection can be filed by anyone. Claims must be submitted at NRC Seva Kendra, where the applicant had submitted their form. Objections can be submitted at the Seva Kendra against whom the application has been submitted.
2. Claims, objections and correction forms will be collected from 30 August 2018 to September 28, 2018.
3. Forms will be available at NRC Seva Kendra and can also be downloaded from www.nrcassam.nic.in from August 7 onwards. Claims and objection forms will have to be submitted at the Seva Kendra. Corrections can be done online.
4. A candidate can get details of his/her non-inclusion at the seva kendra from August 10 to August 30. For non-inclusion claims, candidate will then have to submit required documents and additional if needed. Objection will require the grounds for objection to be duly filled.
5. The NRC final and complete draft will only include names of person born at the last date of form submission i.e. 31 August 2015. Also, if a person has died after submission of the person, they will not be excluded from the list.
