Six-year-old kidnapped last night; Police finds him from an abandoned building

More chilling news coming from Silchar. Fortunately, this time it has a better ending. Today morning, 52-year-old Asim Deb reported to Ghungoor Police out post that his six-year-old son was kidnapped from his residence in Fakirtilla near NIT point. Ashim Deb is a grade IV employee working in the office of Vice Chancellor Assam University Silchar. 

At 4:30 AM in the morning, Ashim Deb informed Police that at around 3:45 AM an unknown individual entered his house by cutting the window rods and ran away with his son Anish Deb, student of Kendriya Vidyalaya. The superintendent of police – Cachar, Rakesh Roushan and additional SP immediately rushed to the spot, all the OCs and ICs in Cachar district was informed.

A search operation was launched to find the kid and one of the police official suddenly heard cries of a baby coming out from an abandoned building about 200 metres away from the victim’s house. The search party broke in to the building and recovered the kid from the bathroom, “His hands, eyes and mouth were tied with cloth and he was screaming for help. We are taking follow up action,” says Roushan adding that the official time of recovery was 6:30 AM, exactly a couple of hours after the report was filed.

While the kidnapping incident is scary and threatening, it is worth mentioning that the Police did a phenomenal job to recover the minor within just couple of hours.
