A 10-year-old and her grandmother dies in a road accident in Rongpur
In an extremely sad turn of affairs, a ten-year-old girl and her grandmother lost their lives in a road mishap. At around 11:30 locals living around Rongpur ADC lane saw a car rolling down in a roadside ditch. They immediately rushed to the spot and somehow managed to pull out the wounded passengers. Two females were found in critical condition and were rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital. The doctors there declared both of them brought dead.
One of them is identified as 10-year-old Lipi Begum Laskar, daughter of Wais Uddin Laskar and resident of Dudhpatil area. The other to lose life in the road mishap happens to be Lipi’s grandmother Jamarun Nesa Mazumdar, aged around 50 years old.
Lipi Begum Laskar was heading to her grandfather’s place in Rongpur for a holiday, but her plans remain unfulfilled. As per available information, Maruti Suzuki Alto K 10 car was traveling from Dudhpatil towards Rongpur when it lost its control fell off the road. The driver managed to escape from the spot leaving the two female passengers behind. The locals informed that all the doors were locked and they had to break the glass in order to rescue the passengers, which took some time.
