Abhijit - Sivasish pair wins Barak Badminton - Media

21st edition of Barak Valley Badminton championship organised by Barak Valley Badminton Association started here at the indoor sports complex of District Sports Association Silchar on Wednesday.
Among other categories, media segment of the tournament drew great attraction among the lovers of the sport.

Journalists from different media houses of the state participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. In the finals, Sivasish Bhattacharjee-Abhijit Deb duo beat Arindam Gupta-Satyajit Suklabaidya pair by 15-5and 15-2 scoreline.

The winners received Kishlay Dutta Choudhury Memorial trophy and cash awards worth Rs 1000 while Runners-up received trophy and cash award of Rs 500. Later, Kishore Dutta Choudhury, father of late Kishlay congratulated the players and thanked them for taking sponteneous partucipation. He hoped that the tournament will bring more talents in the coming years.
