After APCC issued statement alleging 5 AIUDF MLAs visited CM, Karimuddin Barbhuiya says party will lodge FIR
Drama around the election to Rajya Sabha continues in Assam. Assam Pradesh Congress Committee that found itself in an egg on the face situation after Siddique Ahmed wrote “One” to get his vote cancelled, is again at shame. The party in shambles failed to get its own MLAs for the nominated candidate, today morning alleged that five AIUDF MLAs went and met the chief minister at his residence. The letter signed by Manajit Mahanta went viral on social media.
“Buffoons aren’t getting any sleep and that is why doing such nonsensical activities,” responded Sonai MLA and AIUDF’s general secretary, Karimuddin Barbhuiya.
He added, “Chief Minister’s residence is surrounded by CCTV cameras and if we have visited him this morning, then let’s expose us. I request the press to get access to the CCTV footage and bring out the truth.”
Barbhuiya is of the opinion that chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has teamed up with the Congress’s Prithviraj P Sathe and Bhupen Bora to win the Rajya Sabha election and at the same time, put baseless allegations on the AIUDF to jeopardise the party’s existence in the state.
“We are going to file an FIR against the Congress for making fake claims of us visiting the chief minister at his residence. Bhupen Bora couldn’t dare to sign the order himself. Actually, he has been exposed. It is the Congress MLAs who acted against the Congress candidate by teaming up with the chief minister. This is nothing but abusing democracy and misleading the people of the state. Instead of creating stories against the AIUDF,” added Karimuddin Barbhuiya.
