After GC College, Silchar College website hacked; DGP says Police after culprits 

Silchar College in Kabigram, a degree college with affiliation from the Assam University Silchar had its website compromised today evening. Just like what was done to the website of GC College Silchar yesterday, the miscreants had hacked the root files and put a message on display. 

Any users who tried to log in to the website, saw the message. “Hacked by Assamese 1337. We are not from any politician party… WE ARE ALL ASSAMESE” 

The message added, “We all are common peoples.. . some peoples of Silchar are spreading hates between Bengali and Assamese …. Keep in Mind before bengali you are an Assamese @ DON’T FORGET IT …. You are a part of Assam. First of All your Identity is known as Assamese..”

The message, exactly the same as yesterday’s concludes, “Fight for your own parentage. Its your Proprietor…. This is nothing that people are belonging to Barak and Brahmaputra…We are all like Brothers and Sisters,” the message concludes with a warning that they will be back. “We will be back, stay safe and healthy.”   

The repeated hacks have alerted the administration too. DGP, Assam Police, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said to Barak Bulletin, “The website of the college has been restored now. We are in touch with the administrators of the website and we will try to find out the culprits responsible for the hack.”

Silchar College was established in the year 1994.
