Assam Govt. to organise special flights connecting Silchar to Guwahati for Rs 4000 per ticket

Due to recent floods and landslides, connectivity with Barak Valley has been severely disrupted. Assam Tourism Development Corporation has announced special flights to connect Silchar and Guwahati. The flights will start on 18th of June and the fare is fixed at Rs 4000. This move has been taken in association with Fly Big Airlines.

It is important to note that ATDC had collaborated with Fly Big in May too, when the floods had caused the flight prices of other commercial airlines to skyrocket. This time too, the air fare from Silchar to Guwahati has surcharged to Rs 12,000.

The first round of flights will run on 18th June and 19th June from Guwahati to Silchar at 6:00 P.M from Silchar to Guwahati at 7:10 P.M respectively. From 20th June, Guwahati to Silchar flights will run from 7:45 A.M and Silchar to Guwahati flights will run from 8:55 A.M

The flights can be booked in Silchar at a special counter that will be set up at the District Commissioners office. Guwahati residents can book their flights via Red River Travels, Paryatan Bhawan, Guwahati-8
