
Assam University student Suman Singha succumbs to motorcycle accident; AUSU president calls condolence meeting
In an unfortunate turn of affairs, Suman Singha, M. Sc 3rd Sem, Life Science student of Assam University, Silchar, succumbed to a motorcycle accident. According to available information, Singha was riding on a KTM from University to Silchar when he collided with a stationary pole.
A resident of Karimganj, Singha has a B.Sc and B.Ed degree, and was doing his Masters from Assam University Silchar. The locals saw the accident and rushed him to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) where the doctors declared him dead. By the time his friends reached the hospital, he had already breathed his last.
“It is very disheartening to inform you all of Suman Singha (M.Sc. 3rd Sem, Life Science), who passed away after an unfortunate accident near Dargakona. He was rushed to SMCH, but the accident was so severe that nothing could be done to save his life. A bright student has lost his life to sudden circumstances. The loss is irreplaceable for his family and friends,” stated the president of Assam University Students’ Union, Shubhamoy Chanda.
He added, “I would like to request all the students and scholars of Assam University, Silchar to join the condolence meeting on 17 January 2023 (Tuesday) at 4:30pm at Assam University Gate.”
