Assam University to conduct examinations offline, announces phase-wise opening

After the Omicron surge, many universities, including Assam University had considered deferring semester examinations for the safety of the student body. Now, after the UGC issued a circular that mandated the re-opening of universities, Assam University is prepared to hold offline exams for final year students.

In a circular dated 14th February, 2022, AUS states that end semester exams of final year students will be held in the month of March. The exams will be offline and concerned departments can modify the dates of the exams.

Examinations for intermediate semesters i.e excluding first and final semesters are still deferred until further notice as instructed by the university on 8th February, 2022.

AUS is hosting its convocation on April 6th this year as well, as a result of declining infection rates across India.
