Bajrang Dal protests against Congress' manifesto to ban the organisation, Burns effigy of Mallikarjun Kharge in Silchar
The Bajrang Dal protested against Congress’ decision to ban the right wing organisation by blocking the road in Silchar. The protesters burnt the effigy of All India Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. The protest was conducted against the Karanataka election manifesto of Congress which stated that Bajrang Dal will be banned if they came to power. After protesting against this decision of Congress, Bajrang Dal members burnt the effigy of Mallikarjun Kharge.
Speaking to reporters, Silchar Nagar Secretary of VHP Anup Chandra Dey said “Few days back Congress issued a manifesto for Karanataka Elections in which they stated that they would ban Bajrang Dal if they came to power. I want to tell Mallikarjun Kharge that Bajrang Dal is not the same as PFI. We work in the interests of Hindus throughout the country.”
He added, “We also have our organisation in 14 countries apart from India. We are peace loving people and don’t create any trouble. Kharge is a dalal of Pakistan and that’s why he wants to ban Bajrang Dal. We want to warn Congress and their stooges not to play with fire or else their hand will burn. If Kharge doesn’t apologise to Bajrang Dal for his statement then we will organise country wide protests.”
