Digital media show “Silchar With Hrijoy” won the hearts of many with its debut episode where host Hrijoy Kanungo tried to find out the reason behind the non-circulation of 10 rupee coin in Silchar. He spoke to people from all spheres of life and the Deputy commissioner of Cachar and the answer was “rumour”.

Yes, there is some rumour which happens to stop the circulation of a legitimate currency issued by the Reserve Bank of India. The video fetched more than 70,000 views on Facebook and the post reached more than 2,00,000 people.

In the second video host Kanungo and his team took up the issue of “lack of walking space” is Silchar. They walked the city’s heartland and shot improper parking, shops occupying footpath and many irregularities disturbing the traffic. In this episode too he spoke to many pedestrians, commuters and drivers in his witty and candid manner.
