Barak Premier League final at Silchar DSA under lights; LED Giant Screen, Live Streaming & DJ too
Silchar Veteran Cricketers Club has already set multiple records in this year’s Barak Premier League (BPL). For the first time in the history of cricket in Silchar, the Veteran Cricketers Club has organised three BPL matches in one day. The third match was held under floodlights, which happens to be the first instance. However, the BPL organisers are not willing to stop here. This time the Veteran Cricketers Club is preparing new surprises for the spectators in the final.
Speaking of the BPL final, the club officials are not willing to put any error in this test. In an interview with Barak Bulletin before the start of the tournament, three officials of the club, Himadri Shekhar Das, Niranjan Das and Dipankar Deb, said that the novelty in this year’s event will be a giant LED screen.
Accordingly, this LED giant screen is going to be installed in the stadium for the final, which is going to be a brand new experience for cricket lovers in Silchar as well as the entire valley. For so long, viewers used to watch scores or match moments on such LED screens in international matches on TV screens. This time, the local cricket fans will cherish that experience while sitting at the Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium.
Secretary of the BPL tournament organising committee, Himadri Shekhar Das popularly known as ‘Buddha’, said that the LED screen would sit right in the middle of the Tata block and Batu Dasgupta block of the stadium. It will be live streaming the match scores. For that purpose, a total of four cameras will be installed in the field.
Even in the previous editions, there was always something new in the finals of the three editions of BPL. This time too it is no exception. In fact, the BPL organisers have gone one step further this time to add six drones to entertain the spectators from different angles during the match. But this is not the end. A local dance group will perform at the innings break and there will also be a DJ performance to cheer up the crowd.

The mega final will start at 5 pm. Hailakandi Gladiators will play against Royal Challengers Silchar in the title fight. The important thing is that those who want to watch the game on the field in the final will have to enter by buying tickets. But you don’t have to buy a ticket to sit in the gallery. This is just to sit inside the field to watch the game. Each ticket cost 100 rupees. The Veteran Cricketers Club will spend all the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the benefit of the players. All in all, a colourful stage has already been set for the BPL mega final.
