Barak Valley’s Sanjay Kumar Singh, Indian Army jawan dies in Kashmir; Guard of honour at home
On September 29, 2019, Pakistan violated ceasefire yet again. As per reports the Pakistan Army resorted to firing and shelling on forward posts and villages in the line of control. The Indian Army responded too and in the confrontation many lost their lives.
In the line of fire was Barak Valley’s Sanjay Kumar Singh. He was killed by the rival bullets during the confrontation on September 29. Sanjay Kumar Singh is the son of retired Indian Army official Neelkanti Singh and they are residents of Dholai’s Ramprashadpur located in Latugram area.
Yesterday evening Sanjay Kumar Singh’s coffin reached his residence and he was given a guard of honour by the Indian Army Officials at his residence. People from all around the village paid tribute to the martyr who laid his life while combating rivals.
It is learned that he was killed by a Pakistani bullet somewhere in Leh. He was appointed as the driver and was driving troops to the spot of conflict.
Sanjay Kumar Singh’s last rites were performed yesterday. He has left behind his parents, a brother and his sister.
