
Big Breaking: SEBA cancels General Science examination amidst question-paper leak speculations
Major breaking news coming in from the State headquarters of Assam. The Board of Secondary Education, Assam has canceled the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination for the General Science (C3) subject, which was scheduled to be held on Monday, March 13, 2023. The decision has been taken due to the availability of a handwritten model question paper of the exam, which has been spread on social media platforms.
The announcement was made in a statement released by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam. The statement reads, “This is for information to all concerned that, a piece of news was telecast in a section of media today evening that a hand-written model question paper of HSLC examination of General Science (C3) subject, which is to be held on 13th March 2023 (Monday) is available in the hands of some candidates and it is also spread in social media. We have a belief that such news may create confusion in the minds of the candidates and keeping in view of this, the examination of the General Science (C3) subject, which is to be held on 13th March 2023 (Monday) is hereby canceled. The next date of the examination of the subject General Science shall be notified in due course.”
The statement also mentions that the Board of Secondary Education, Assam has initiated an inquiry into the matter and will take necessary action in due course. The order has been signed by N.J. Sarmah, Controller of Examinations, Board of Secondary Education, Government of Assam.
The cancellation of the General Science (C3) exam has created confusion among the students, who were scheduled to appear for the exam. The Board of Secondary Education, Assam has assured that the next date for the examination of the subject will be notified in due course.
