Big relief for Silchar’s passport applicants

Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has announced the inauguration of Post Office Passport Seva Kendra Silchar. The Regional Passport Office, Guwahati has issued an invitation letter which states that the inauguration ceremony will take place on March 25, 2017.
The letter also mentions that Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister of PWD, Fisheries and Excise, Government of Assam, Deputy speaker Assam Legislative Assembly, Dilip Kumar Paul and Sushmita Dev, member of Parliament, Silchar will inaugurate the Passport Seva Kendra at the office of Senior Superintendent of Post offices Silchar.
Indeed this is a great news for the people of Barak Valley who aspire to travel out of India… but how this office functions and more importantly how efficiently it does, remains to be seen.
