Body of Hailakandi missing driver Uttam Goala recovered from Jijang Pahar

Katlicherra resident Uttam Goala, a driver by profession was missing since Friday. Today, Cachar Police recovered his dead body from NH37, near Jijang Pahar area, which comes under Jirighat police station. According to sources, Friday afternoon around 2 PM, Goala left his house in Harishnagar GP, along with his Maruti Suzuki Alto car. Since then, both he and the car had been missing.

A source informed us that three unidentified youth hired Goala’s Alto to travel to Nivia from Katlicherra bus-stand. It is suspected that the three unidentified youth who reserved the vehicle, killed Uttam Goala and stole the car.

Meanwhile, the family members of Goala have left for Lakhipur and friends and family members are shocked at the dreadful turn of affairs…

Hope the Police will manage to arrest the culprits, and the Goala family will get justice. For now may his soul rest in peace
