Bowlers of Silchar Ready To Shine: ACA Talent Search on 18 May
Cricket, a sport deeply embedded in the heart of every Indian, transcends mere recreation to become a way of life. The passion for cricket knows no bounds, and Silchar, or Barak Valley as a whole, is no exception. Here, young dreamers harbor aspirations of representing their nation on the cricket field, fueled by the fervor that courses through their veins. Now, their aspirations take a tangible form with the announcement of the “Talent Search for Fast Bowler- Open Trial.”
The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Cricket Academy, in collaboration with the Assam Cricket Association, is set to conduct a series of trials across five venues from 13 to 21 May 2024, including Silchar on 18 May. This initiative serves as a beacon of hope for aspiring cricketers, particularly those hailing from the picturesque Barak Valley, offering them a platform to showcase their bowling prowess.
Aspiring cricketers from across Assam are encouraged to attend the trials at the venue of their choice, armed with their age proof certificates and a passport-sized photograph. The attire of choice for the trials is the players’ own playing attire, ensuring comfort and ease of movement during the trials.
Apart from Silchar, the trials are being held in Dibrugarh on 13 May, in Tezpur on 14 May, in Barpeta on 16 May and in Guwahati on 21 May. Overall, the “Talent Search for Fast Bowler- Open Trial” presents a golden opportunity for budding cricketers to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination aross the state.
