Breaking: Cachar Police interrogating 2nd accused Shibu Nath in SBI’s Kuldeep Dasgupta suicide case

The grade IV staff who allegedly was the catalyst in forcing Kuldip Dasgupta, Branch Manager of State Bank Of India’s Kabuganj Branch, is now at the Police Station.

As per Police sources, Shibu Nath, who was working in the same branch is currently being interrogated at the Sonai Police Station. Sources informed that he himself walked into the Police Station after her was called in by the investigating officers.

The Police officials have called for his CDR (call detail record) to identify if he has made calls to the chief manager – Audit, Yogesh Pandey who is already in Police custody. The audit officer, as stated by SP Cachar, Numal Mahatta, had asked for gratification from the deceased Kuldeep Dasgupta.

If a bank official close to Dasgupta is to be believed then Nath was involved in many unfair practices that Kuldeep Dasgupta being the branch manager got to know and prohibited. According to sources in the banking fraternity, as an act of revenge, Nath concealed or distorted many important files and documents creating pressure on Dasgupta.

These allegations are just rumours unless Police Officials find them true. For now, Nath, who was on leave but joined office on January 12 is being interrogated at the Police Station and likely to be arrested.
