Cachar BJP Mourns Loss of "Senapati" Kiriti Bhusan Purkayastha

In a somber atmosphere, the clouds of grief have descended upon the members of the BJP in Cachar District following the demise of Kiriti Bhusan Purkayastha, the former President of BJP Cachar. His passing has cast a shadow of sorrow over the BJP workers, leaving them in a state of deep sadness.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences, Bimelendu Roy, the President of BJP Cachar District, conveyed the magnitude of the loss, emphasizing that Kiriti Bhusan Purkayastha’s contributions to the party would never be forgotten.

Jhalak Chakroborty, the spokesperson for BJP Cachar, spoke to Barak Bulletin, describing Kiriti Bhusan Purkayastha as a “Senapati,” a revered General of BJP Cachar. He emphasized the irreplaceable void left by Purkayastha’s absence, stating that his unique position within the party could never be filled.

Chakroborty conveyed that while new leaders may join the party in the future, none would match the stature of Kiriti Bhusan Purkayastha. His impact, according to Chakroborty, will echo through the years, and the party remains committed to upholding his ideals.

The late leader had been ailing for an extended period, and the party stood by him throughout his illness. With his passing, the BJP members are united in praying for his peaceful journey to beyond.

Chakroborty assured that the party is in constant contact with the bereaved family. A poignant tribute was paid to Purkayastha at the party office, with attendance from all members during his last rites.

It’s worth noting that during Kiriti Bhusan Purkayastha’s illness, he received a visit from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. A few yeas ago CM Sarma personally checked on his well-being, sharing updates on the situation via his Twitter handle.
