Cachar district has made a remarkable leap in Assam’s district rankings, securing the 9th position in February 2025, as per the latest evaluation approved by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. This marks a significant rise from its 23rd position in September 2024, highlighting the district administration’s dedication and coordinated efforts.

Cachar Deputy Commissioner Mridul Yadav attributed this success to meticulous planning, strategic execution, and seamless teamwork across departments. “This achievement reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire administrative team. It proves that with a shared vision and determined execution, remarkable progress is possible. Our goal now is to sustain this momentum and further enhance Cachar’s standing,” he said.

DC Yadav also acknowledged the state government’s support and stressed the need to build on this progress. “This ranking is more than just numbers—it signifies our district’s development trajectory. We must continue striving for excellence in governance and public service delivery,” he added.

With this milestone, Cachar sets its sights on even greater achievements, aiming to raise the bar for governance and development in Assam.
