Cachar Police announces "Most Disciplined Puja Committee" award; will reward the ones who follow guidelines

After a meeting organised by the Police Administration of Cachar with the Puja Committees, Cachar Police announced that it will reward Puja Committees this year.

In a statement, the Cachar Police announced, “Most Disclipned Puja Committee award will be given to five Puja Committees who will follow all the guidelines and maintain peace and public order especially during Visharjan.”

Guidelines to be followed by all the Puja Committees are:

1. Proper barricades for queues to be made
2. There must be demarcation for male and female queues
3. Proper entry and exit must be marked
4. CCTVs to be installed
5. Phone numbers of Police Station and fire service to be properly displayed.
6. All the volunteers must have a proper badge
7. Noise pollution to be kept in check
8. Cleanliness to be maintained as per Swacha Bharat Abhiyan”We seek co-operation from all the Puja Committees in order to have a safe and joyous Durga Puja,” Cachar Police said in a statement.
