Cachar Police apprehends one with 12 containers of drugs
Substance abuse is on the rise in Silchar. Youngsters are making drugs a part of their lifestyle and getting habituated day by day. Illegal drugs are easily available in the market and that is making things worse. While that is horrible, today morning, Cachar Police did manage to achieve some success in their mission to combat drugs.
ASI Silchar Sadar Police Station, Ananta Kumar Singha noticed a young boy behaving suspiciously. He followed him for a while and spotted that the boy is carrying small containers, much like the packaging of homeopathy medicine. Singha approached the boy and his instincts turned out to be true as there were illegal psychotropic substances (drugs) in those containers.
The apprehended boy is identified as Dipal Rajkumar, son of Dilip Rajkumar a resident of the Chengcoorie Road near National Highway Silchar. He was carrying as many as 12 containers with him and was probably waiting for customers to come and exchange them for cash.
Dipal Rajkumar is now in Silchar Sadar Police Station and officials are interrogating him.
