Cachar Police arrests "dreaded" car-lifter; "Investigation is on to unearth the nexus," SP

Known as a headache of the Police, Farukh Ahmed Laskar has been nabbed by Cachar Police late last night/early today. Laskar is one of the most dreaded car-lifters and has remained active in this region for a long period of time.

Police sources informed that most car-lifting cases in this region is suspected to have direct or indirect involvement of Farukh Ahmed Laskar.

A team of Police officials from the Bangarpar Police Outpost launched an operation to nab Farukh Ahmed Laskar. The officials chased him down to Burunga in Katigora and nabbed him.

Superintendent of Police, Cachar Ramandeep Kaur mentioned it as a major success. “So far, we have confiscated one car from him. He is a dreaded criminal and was active in this region for a very long time. Investigation is on to unearth the nexus and trace his partners if any,” informed Kaur.
