Cachar Police confiscates 26.40 gm brown sugar, arrests two Mizos

Cachar is becoming a hot bed for drugs and narcotics. This evening, in an operation, 58 vials of brown sugar was confiscated by the police. These vials was seized from two Mizoram citizens in Lowairpoa.

The total weight of the appropriated drug is 26.40 grams. The vials of this drug was being carried in a black polythene bag. In connection of this, two individuals have also been arrested. They are peddlers from Mizoram, caught while traveling to Cachar in Lowairpoa check post.

They have been identified as Lalhamang Aaiha and Ramu Puiya, both from Mizoram. Their mobile phones have also been seized by the police and further investigation in this matter is on process. Brown sugar is a poor quality heroin based drug morphine.
