Cachar Police raids a house in 1st Link Road, confiscates suspected brown sugar, arrests one 

Based on a secret tipoff, SI Subimal Nath of Rangirkhari Police Outpost led a team to raid a residence in Silchar’s First Link Road. The Police got the information that antisocial activities were carried out from a residence in Lane Number 9. 

The raid was conducted last night and the information turned out to be true. Cachar Police confirmed that suspected brown sugar kept in 29 different containers have been seized following the raid. The substance is being further probed to ascertain the market value. Sources informed that 29 small containers are weighing around 16 grams.

The Police also confirmed that one individual has been arrested. 29-year-old Pinku Das was caught in possession of the banned substance. He was residing at the residence of Brojolal Dutta as a tenant, informed the Police.

The Police officials informed that Das is being interrogated to unearth his links with other rackets that are supplying illegal substances to the youth of this region.
