Cachar’s 13-Year-Old Shines in National Quran Competition
A 13-year-old prodigy from Cachar has made Assam proud by excelling at the national stage. Hafiz Arifuz Zaman Laskar, a resident of Katigorah in Cachar has clinched the first position in a national-level Quaran recitation competition.
A student of Rahmaniya Hafizia Madrasa in Katigorah, the 13-year-old Hafiz Arifuz Zaman Laskar clinched the first position at the All India Hifzul Quran Competition held on December 8 in Howrah, West Bengal. THis position won him a cheque worth Fifty Thousand Rupees, along with certificates and a memento.
The young Hafiz showcased his exceptional recitation skills, surpassing participants from across the country. His outstanding achievement has not only brought glory to his village with warm felicitation at his arrival in Badarpur after the contest.
Yesterday, December 12, on his return to Barak Valley, Arifuz received a warm welcome at Badarpur station. Teachers, friends, and well-wishers greeted him warmly with garlands before accompanying him to his madrasa. His victory stands as an inspiration for many young learners in the region.
