Chief Minister to visit Silchar on July 1, third time in one week
Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been personally monitoring the flood condition in Cachar district. He has already visited the district twice in the last seven days and today, the Cachar Police announced that the chief minister will visit Silchar on July 1.
The Cachar Police has informed that during the visit of the CM, Session Judge Point, PWD Point, India Club, Chandmari Point, Assam Rifles Point, Jhalupara Point, Church Road Point, Capital Point, Forest Office Point and DC Office route will have strict no-entry.
The superintendent of Police, Cachar, Ramandeep Kaur shared a map that mentions there will be one-way traffic on the road from India Club to GC College.
On July 1, CM will visit GC College from a temporary helipad at Police Parade Ground via Session Judge Point, Annapurna Ghat, India Club, Jail Road, Church Road, Ambicapatty Chowrangee, Ramanuj Gupta Junior College.
After inspecting the relief camp at GC College, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s motorcade will take the same route to reach the Session Judge point and eventually proceed to the DC Office. He is scheduled to meet various stakeholders at the deputy commissioner’s office. After the meeting he will proceed to the makeshift helipad and take off.
