Chilling murder at Bhanga, man slashed to death by machete

The murder of 70-year-old Masukur Rahman at Bhanga Dakshinkul village under Badarpur police station at around 8 pm on Monday has created quite an uproar in the entire locality. The man was slashed a number of times using a machete near his house resulting in his death while the murderer fled the spot and ambushed.

Hearing the incident, Badarpur Police Station OC B.K. Barman and SI Kamlesh Singh rushed to Dakshinkul village. ASI Ranjit Sinha from Bhanga Outpost also reached the spot. They recovered the dead body and the blood drenched machete from the area. The body was later sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Lawyer Dayan Hussain reached the spot upon hearing the news. He demanded an impartial probe into the incident and apt retribution of the culprits involved. Tension is high in the area following the incident.

Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation to find out how and why the murder took place. The murder mystery might come out after police investigation and many are assuming that the killer might be caught soon.
