Class X students meet with an accident on their way to exam centre; Tipper collides with school van in Kalain

In a tragic turn of affairs, a school van filled with students met with an accident on its way to the examination centre. The accident took place near Ranighat at Silchar – Kalain road. The students of AC Memorial School were on their way to Shirajul Ali High School which happens to be the Centre for Class X examination.

On their way, a tipper truck loaded with sand collided with the van head-on. The impact of the collision was such that the Maruti Van rolled off the road to a ditch.

The students inside the van were rescued by the locals. As per available information, five students have been rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Afsana Begum Barbhuiya, Sahad Amed Laskar, Hasif Ahmed Barbhuiya, Nur Ahmed Barbhuiya, Ali Azad Barbhuiya have been stretchered to the SMCH. As per latest available information, all of them have been deemed to be out of danger.
