Covid19, June 11 update: 311 positive in Cachar, 3 deaths at SMCH

According to the information received from the health department of the Cachar district, 311 patients have tested Covid positive on Friday, June 11. Of these, 90 were identified in the RT-PCR test and 221 in the Rapid Antigen Test. Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice-principal of the Silchar Medical College & Hospital told the medical bulletin that as of June 11, there were 213 active Covid patients at the Silchar Medical College & Hospital. 87 patients are in the ICU, 114 patients are in the Covid ward. 23 patients are on ventilator support and 142 patients are on oxygen support.

In the last 24 hours, 23 patients were admitted to the hospital and 32 patients were discharged. 6 patients have taken home isolation and 3 patients died at the medical college in the same period due to corona infection.

Bela Rani Sen, an 84-year-old resident of the Vivekananda Road area of ​​Silchar city, was admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital on June 8 and died on June 10 at 6:30 pm.

Champalal Ravidas, aged 68, a resident of the Jirighat area of the Cachar district, was admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital on June 8 and died on June 10 at 10 pm.

Hira Majumder, aged 32, a resident of the Lakhinagar 2nd block of the Hailakandi district, was admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital on June 2. He died on June 11 at 2:30 pm with corona symptoms.

In the Karimganj district, on June 11, out of 4,374 swabs collected, 82 have tested Covid positive. 118 have been discharged and the current Covid active cases in the district stand at 1068.
