CRPF-Rangirkhari Police raid in Link Road; seizes drugs, arrests one
Responding to a tip off, Central Reserve Police Force and Rangirkhari Police launched a joined operation in Link Road last night. After a successful raid the security personnel managed to seize 26,000 numbers of tablets used for addiction.
CRPF’s 147 battalion’s assistant commandant Sanjay Kumar along with his team and Rangirkhari Police raided a residence in Link Road’s lane number nine. The team caught 40-year-old Subhendu Choudhury redhanded with the drugs.
A media statement released after the joint operation states “Choudhury is a resident of Link Road lane number 1. He rented this house in lane number nine and used to run an illegal business out of that rented apartment. Professionally, Choudhury is a distributor of IMC company.”
The statement also clarifies that the seized tablets are consumed for addiction.
