Cyclone Fani: NF Railway cancels Silchar - Thiruvananthapuram Express
Cyclone ‘Fani’ recognised as the strongest April storm in 43 years which can gather a wind speed of upto 200 kmph is expected to make its landfall in regions of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu in the coming days. Keeping the weather warnings in mind Indian Railways decided to cancel several trains operating in the East – Coast Railways.
A notice signed by the general manager, operations Northeast Frontier Railways (NF Railways) announced the cancellation of 12508, Silchar – Thiruvananthapuram Central express train which was scheduled to leave on May 2, 2019 from Silchar. 12507 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Silchar express train scheduled to leave on May 7, 2019 has also been cancelled.
Apart from that Guwahati – Secunderabad (May 2, 2019), Secunderabad – Guwahati (May 5, 2019), Dibrugarh – Tambaram (May 5, 2019) and Tambaram – Dibrugarh (May 2, 2019) has also been cancelled.
