DC Cachar notifies new COVID Guidelines: Masks made mandatory in gatherings, public places
An order issued by the Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson, District Health Society Cachar, notifies the new guideline “In view of the increasing trend of Covid-19 cases in Cachar district from last one week.
The guidelines that are mentioned in the notification includes, “All the Officers / Officials within Cachar district are to wear mandatory face mask in their respective offices / areas (Both Government & Private) during performing regular public services and Covid appropriate behavior need to be maintained.”
It also adds, “All the Doctors, Paramedical Staffs and other Staffs of Health Institutions / Hospitals (Both Government & Private) are to use compulsory face mask during service delivery (i.e. in OPD, Emergency, IPD, OT, Labor room, Laboratory, Waiting areas, Registration Counter etc.)
All people are to mandatory use of face mask during attending any type of gathering. The In- charge of such gathering will be responsible for maintaining Covid appropriate behaviors. Also, All the Shop owners / Business establishment are to ensure Covid appropriate behaviors (HAND HYGIENE, FACE MASK, SOCIAL DISTANCING, NO SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES, NO SPITTING IN PUBLIC PLACES) within their jurisdiction. The Owner of shop/establishment are to use “NO MASK, NO ENTRY” slogan at the entrance.
The order further states, “All the Fuel Stations are to display and implement” NO MASK, NO FUEL” slogan. All the Banks, Malls, Offices (Both Government & Private) are to use “NO MASK, NO ENTRY” slogan at the entrance. Miking to be arranged by BDOs, ULBs in all Market places and crowded areas for maintenance of Covid appropriate behaviors (HAND HYGIENE, FACE MASK, SOCIAL DISTANCING, NO SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES, NO SPITTING IN PUBLIC PLACES)
The order concludes, “Covid Vaccination to be continued in an aggressive manner to over all eligible groups. DIO& SDM&HO IC Covid Vaccination to make plan accordingly.”
According to the data shared by the Cachar District Administration, nine individuals in Cachar district have tested positive for COVID 19 on July 13. A total of 45 individuals have tested positive since July 1 and 12 have recovered leaving 33 active cases in the district. It is worth mentioning here that not a single patient out of the 45 had to be hospitalised.
