DC Keerthi Jalli visits M.G model hospital in Katigorah; takes stock of infrastructure

Cachar Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli IAS, on Saturday, visited MG Model Hospital at Katigorah in Cachar district and took stock of the hospital’s preparedness considering the increasing number of coronavirus-positive cases.

Jalli, who has been conducting inspections regularly at different hospitals in Silchar and across the district in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, spoke to Dr. Ratna Chakraborty, Deputy Superintendent, MG Model Hospital along with doctors and the other hospital staff and learnt about the infrastructure, facilities and other related aspects. Additional deputy commissioner Sumit Sattawan was also present.

Interacting with media persons, the Deputy Commissioner said the situation in the district is normal and that all necessary measures are being taken to keep things under control. The administration is working round the clock to fight the pandemic, she said. Further, she urged everyone to co-operate with doctors, health workers and everyone, who are working relentlessly and risking their lives in the fight against COVID-19.
