DC Laya Madduri and SP visits Indo-Bangla border
Cachar Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri, on Sunday, visted the Indo Bangla international border fence along the areas of Katigorah constituency of Cachar district.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Cachar SP Mughdhajyoti Dev Mahanta. During her visit at the Harinagar BOP along with BSF officials and locals of Tukergram and Nathanpur and interacted with them to learn about the prevailing issues faced by the natives living along the border and also in the areas falling in the no man’s land of the Indian territory. Madduri urged upon the locals to step up and exercise their right to vote without fail in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
The DC posted on her official facebook page, Inspected the law and order situation all along the Indo-Bangladesh International border. Held a meeting with local public and BSF officials at BOP Harinagar. Also visited the families living ahead of the border fence at village Tukergram, Natanpur and interacted with them to know the problems they are facing. Urged the people living in the bordering areas to take part in the democratic process by peacefully and enthusiastically casting their vote in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.”
