Deputy Speaker of Assam Aminul Haque Laskar's convoy meets with an accident in Shillong road

Deputy speaker of Assam and Sonai MLA Aminul Haque Laskar’s convoy met with an accident in Shillong Road while returned to Silchar from Guwahati.

While the MLA was not reachable, Silchar MP, Rajdeep Roy informed that Aminul Haque Laskar is fine and he is on his way back to Silchar. Roy, Laskar, and others traveled to Guwahati to attend party events and hold important meetings to gear up for the upcoming Assembly Elections.

Roy informed that two of Deputy Speaker’s security officials got injured and they have been sent to Guwahati Medical College.

As per available information, the security officials who got injured are Manoj Kumar Nath and Abadur Rahman. Reportedly, the pilot vehicle in a three-car motorcade skidded on oil spilled road and lost its control. The deputy speaker’s car was at the centre and the driver controlled it before driving over the oil. The pilot vehicle slipped into a roadside drain and the two officials got injured.
