Devastating Fire Destroys Cow Stable in Katigorah: Two Cows Burnt Alive
A devastating fire broke out late at night in Katigorah’s Fulbari area, burning down a cow stable and killing two cows. The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, 7 September 2024. The stable, which belonged to a local resident, Azhar Uddin Mazumdar, was completely destroyed in the blaze.
According to reports, the fire is suspected to have started due to an electrical malfunction. It is believed that an electric short circuit caused a spark, which quickly spread through the stable. The incident was first noticed by a passer-by, who raised an alarm and alerted the nearby residents.
At the time of the fire, Azhar Uddin’s family members were fast asleep inside their home, unaware of the danger. Fortunately, the alert passer-by’s call for help brought the local community together. They were able to rescue the family members before the fire could spread further.
Despite the prompt action of the villagers, the fire destroyed the entire stable, and two cow perished in the flames. Other cows in the stable suffered severe injuries and are currently in critical condition. Efforts are being made to save them, but their condition remains uncertain.
A local resident informed the media that the fire likely started due to an electrical malfunction, with a spark from a faulty electric line being the suspected cause. The fire erupted around 11 p.m. on 7 September 2024. The resident explained that the fire engulfed Azhar Uddin Mazumdar’s cow stable, killing one cow instantly while others sustained severe injuries. The local community initially struggled to identify the source of the fire but believed the electric line burst, sparking the deadly blaze.
The fire brigade arrived on the scene after the fire had already caused significant damage. While the blaze was eventually brought under control, it had already claimed the stable and caused a tragic loss to the Mazumdar family.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire originated from a spark in the electrical wiring. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause.
