Labak Tea Garden's top exec Sandeep Tanwar murdered 

The tea industry of Assam is taken aback by the tragic death of senior assistant manager of Labak Tea Garden. The tea garden is located in  Lakhipur sub-division of Cachar district and is owned by Aditya Birla’s Jay Shree Tea and Industries limited. A dead body was found lying in the bushes this morning and after initial investigation, Police identified the deceased as Sandeep Singh Tanwar.

According to police, they were informed by the locals of the garden located about 26 kms from Silchar. Police reached the spot and recovered the blood-stained body which was seen lying on the bushes of a narrow road connecting Labak and Lalang of the tea estate. Later, the body was sent for post-mortem.

After initial investigation additional SP (Headquarters) Rakesh Reddy estimated that the incident could have taken place at around 11:30 pm on Friday night. “We have deployed dog squad and investigation into the case is in progress. There has been no arrest made so far,” Reddy said.
