Dholai Police unable to locate minor girl even after four days of abduction, Family suspects human trafficking
A 15-year-old student of Class 8 went missing after school hours on last Thursday (i.e. four days ago) and is yet to be traced. The family suspects that the girl is in the grip of a human trafficking ring.
Shefali (name changed) is the only daughter of Ainul Haque, a resident of Lailapur who is a day laborer by profession and Guljan Begum. The routine departure to school took a devastating twist when she mysteriously vanished after school hours. Her mother initiated the initial search, but her efforts proved futile. As word reached her father, Ainul Haque, who was away in Mizoram due to work commitments, rushed back home immediately to join the desperate quest for his missing child.
Despite exhaustive efforts, Shefali could not be located, and as a result, a missing person report was filed at the Dholai Police Station in the night. Subsequently, law enforcement authorities launched a full-scale investigation into the incident.
As the anxious parents relentlessly sought any lead that could help locate their daughter, distressing information surfaced. The family received word that Shefali might have been abducted by an individual identified as Selim Uddin, a father of two, hailing from Rajgobindopur. It also came to light that Selim had been involved in two similar incidents in the past, further deepening concerns that he might have abducted Shefali with sinister intentions, potentially for the purpose of human trafficking.
Amidst this overwhelming situation, Shefali’s anguished parents have made a heartfelt plea for the safe return of their daughter. Simultaneously, the police have taken one individual into custody for interrogation, as they intensify their efforts to unravel the mystery behind Shefali’s disappearance.
